AOS/Interview Question

Case Transferred to CSC on 4/22

Wrote letter to senator, they suggested we wait another 30 days for GC.

Husband and I called USCIS and they went to put in a service request in and said they couldn't do it.

Transferred us to supervisor. Supervisor couldn't do it. She said the only choice left was to schedule us

for an interview.

Question: Has anyone been scheduled for an interview 5 months after being transferred to CSC?

We do have a great age difference, maybe STOKES interview they want to give us?

I made an infopass appoint for friday because this information doesn't sit well with me at all.

Any advice, help would be appreciated :star:

By the way, we did get the I-131 and the I-765 already

I have seen posts where people have been given interviews, even after being transferred to CSC.

Just being transferred there does not mean they cannot require an interview of you. (all though, a lot of CSC transfers are interview free)

I don't understand why it doesn't sit well for you, getting an interview is part of the process, some people get picked to do them, and you seem to have been picked.

It probably is not a "stokes", since they haven't done the first one yet. (usually, they give a stokes when the initial interview raises to many red flags).

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Thank you for you imput...I simply said it doesn't sit well with me because of the length of time theyve had our case. I will find out more when we go to our infopass appointment.

MrsTee I called them yesterday too and they told me I cant have a service request until we are 30 days outside the processing time. I was told to call back after October 15. The lady did mention an interview but it was just a General Statement. She said "Family Based AOS requires an Interview"...#######.

Let me know how the Info Pass went

We went to our infopass appointment and the officer said they gave us the wrong information and she apologize profusely. She said that since our case is still at CSC and has NOT been transferred to the local office, we will NOT have an interview. She advised us to continue to wait. She said it could take up to one year to receive the card. Because our case was last touched on 9/9 they are actively working on the case.
