I've never seen Dexter, is it any good? Working my way through Family Guy right now, only recently came across it, I have been missing out.

Dexter is awsome!!!!!!!!!!! I dont have Showtime so I watched the first two season on Netflix streaming...the wife and I would end up watching 3 or 4 episodes on the bounce. Seasons 3 & 4 are disc only at the moment but there are other options for streaming these shows if you're as impatient as I am.

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. So far, I've watched, Doubt, Men Who Stare at Goats, and some foreign films. I might try watching Episode 1 tonight. :) I'll let you know.

I wanted it to be really good, but there's this really heavy-handed voiceover explaining every thought and slice of reasoning of the protagonist. We don't...need this. Otherwise it's decent. It's no Six Feet Under.

Bummer. :(

I know. I love Michael C. Hall. It's still watchable though.

I want Six Feet Under and Arrested Development back. Forever.

Arrested Development was great. Really character driven. Reminded me of Wes Anderson type characters.

Season 2 of Dexter is the best, I found it a somewhat darker exploration of the conflicts of a serial killer. (although each season brings something fresh in this respect). I thought Jimmy Smits and John Lithgow were fantastic, in seasons 3 and 4 respectively.

NB: Season 4 I watched on a long plane journey, i made it through 10 episodes without a break. When I later watched the whole season with my wife we went slower and even waited a few days between the final two episodes because we did not want it to end.

Wow. I didn't realize it's been on that long.
