Hey folks,

has anyone moved from the UK to the US?? I'm looking to move to Alaska so realise it's a bit more "out the way" but I've been looking online to find international removal firms.

Would be looking to take baggage only i.e. clothes, personal items etc...not furniture. There are so many of these companies and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them and could recommend a few to get quotes from??

DHL moved me, door to door Manchester outskirts to the middle of nowhere Kentucky in 3 days. 8 MASSIVE suitcases wrapped in polythene weighing between 22kg and 32kg each for £511.

I gave up looking at removal companies and went with DHL as I could organise a next day pick up last minute and it worked out cheaper and easier for me.

Oh and DHL do tracking online so you can see exactly where your stuff is.

The thread linked aboce is pretty helpful. I'll find out who Rob used as well. It was about 500 pound for 2 tea chest size cases and door to door delivery.
