Planning for my Medical and Interview-help!

Hey all!

I got my letter from the US Embassy in Manila notifying me that I can schedule anytime. I have decided to do it this December (for personal reasons). I know it's still a few months from now, but I have already gathered pretty much all the data that I need. My question is what is the best way to present them? In folders? A clearbook? An expandable folder? And which documents should be together/separate? How about the photos?

I would also appreciate any advice for the medical and interview, I am so nervous! My fiance will be in Ranger School the whole time I'm doing this so I'll be doing everything by myself. :(

Also, what would be a good attire to wear for the interview?

I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS! Lol. I hope someone can enlighten me. :)

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

I had all my papers together in a paper clip inside a large business envelope. Photos were in a separate envelope along with letter of our meeting. I had all the consulate/embassy forms clipped together and then all the documents they required from me together in a clip. Medical will be in a separate sealed envelope anyway so don't worry about that. Just have them all in order and what to wear smart casual, I dressed upa bit for mine in Australia but hey they did not even notice as ours is done through a glass window. Don't stress ok you will be fine. Good luck for december

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month

In my case we do a little portfolio with each document label and separated and that way you can take easy any document they ask you , and also we did a separate book with all the proof of our relation.

The thing that help us a lot was that almost all the pictures that we have are printed with the date on it . . i dont even show this in my interview but i know Philippines is different.

Take your time with this , dont leave it for the last moment , we do all of this in a month i think  but it was so good get everything on time , so when we got the letter everything is done with out pressure

Good luck!! :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

i had mine in 3 folders..one for the forms coz thats the 1st thing they will ask along with the printed copy from the internet of your appointment date... then legal documents like my birth cert, cenomar, copy of my fiance's birth certs passport and employment certs and tax records.. etc... in case they want it.. (for me my son's birth cert as well), then the other folder i have all our proof of relationship..
