Our K-3 interview last week

We had our K-3 interview last week at ISL, PAKISTAN.

Visa officer asked my wife to fill half of the form that was left un-filled, he then said "All looks good" and said it will take two weeks for the results.

He kept her passport and also had our original docutments that we submitted before interview (marriage cert, police cert etc).

Do we consider this an APPROVED or they are still working on our case?

Thanks,

K3 Seeker

You can always call the DoS Hotline , get a Human, inquire for case status.

It sounds like an approval to me. They kept ours and sent the passport with VISA stamped in about a week after the interview date in India. When did your I-130/I-129F get approved? Did they get approved after Feb 1st 2010?

9/1/2009: Applied for I-130

9/14/2009: NOA1 for I-130

9/21/2009: NOA1 for I-129F (CSC)

9/25/2009: NOA1 received for I-129F (receipt of mail)

01/08/2010 : Thank you very much Jesus..... NOA 2 129F

01/08/2010 : NOA 2 I-130

01/15/2010 : Embassy gets the approval notice (Awesome..Love K3...so glad we have done K3)

01/20/2010: Embassy schedules interview for K3

02/19/2010: K3 interview over and approved.

[Thank You very much Jesus and our heavenly father.]

I suggest you check in with DoS Hotline, every few days or so, ask for

--current casefile status

--is the case put in AP? (ask this directly)

--prior 3 casefile status things, with date/time stamps

and then each time you call, keep a written log of what was said, as those 'prior 3 casefile status things' will change, a bit, over time.

If you are not in USA and need to call - hey ! Google Voice is free, you should try to use it !

Ok, I called and talked to a Visa Officer, she said its look like they are still reviewing this case, I asked if this is put on AP? she said she does not know, I asked how long it will take or any estimate? she said some cases take days, some weeks, some months, so she really cannot tell anything.

Strange thing is Consular Officer did not give us any slip or AP or anything, just a token and said it will take 2 week, is this indication of AP?

Well, it is only 4 days since our interview was conducted so we should have some patience I guess.

You talked to a Visa Officer at the DoS Hotline ? (DoS # in my profile, left panel)

anyway - make a call every few days or even daily, ask those same questions.

DoS Hotline shares data with each consulate/embassy, but can't see Consular Notes. Major status things, they see and can tell you.

Called again and same answer "still pending" , I heard that K-3 visa should not take long and especially the female normally dont have AP.
