Spoke to a lady at the Senators office today who deals with VISA stuff. She was nice but started giving me lines about how many people they have to service yada, yada, yada. I told her I understand all that and am not upset with her but all of this is BS from where I am standing. The USCIS alone has 18,000 employees and that's not counting the contract workers they us. They dont fill out much paperwork as we put it all together they do reviews.

I with her everything that has happened including my wife's not having the NSO Doc during the interview. She told me that the Embassy puts everyone's file in a complete pile when our documents are all in and if we didn't have all our documents in then we went back to the bottom of the pile. That's is what was explained to her. Wow that sounds fair to me. I made a comment about how I wished the IRS worked that way. She said the IRS has a different system. I said yes they do they have one that works. I stated that citizens should be treated better and this process is broken. I have waited quietly for 9 1/2 months and enough is enough. She told me this was not so bad because other have been waiting 2 yrs. I said you cant say that. First you wait for something 9 1/2 months that's important to you, complete paperwork, pay fees and be corresponded to 3 times in the process then tell me its not so bad or is not long. I told her I recently had to pass on a Great job at a National Laboratory outside of Chicago because of my knowing nothing about when my wife would be allowed to enter the USA. This has put is a hardship on me that didn't need to happen. Employment must be important to the Government because they ask for AOS and they put lots of emphasis on that information.

She ask me to call her back when 4 week have passed from the date the embassy had all our papers. I told her all our papers has been in to the Embassy since Nov 5. That is according to the Embassy call center and the Embassy and I forwarded the email to her. I then ask her, So now from what your telling me the Embassy may or may not have told us what other documents might be missing and if they find more paperwork missing then I am back to the bottom of the pile again. What kind of fairness is this. Our paperwork was reviewed by two other Government Departments. She said she really cant do anything but for me to send in my information to her and she can put in a inquiry as to our status. Then she tells me she is working with 200 other people. Poor over worked Government Employees. I should have told her oh that's not bad, there are others who are working with thousands. somehow I don't think she would get the joke.

She was friendly and did understand my frustration and our conversation was pleasant but we did see things differently but she understood and really has no play in all of this. I am just looking for help and thats what they are their for. At least thats what they say when they are running for office.

So then I go on to the Embassy site to find out who I could contact and express my frustration with about this whole process, I found the below statement on the US Embassy web site. Being a curious type I clicked on the English Version...

I clicked on the English Version and there was nothing there which seemed appropriate.... This is at least telling the truth for a change. I guess everyone in the State Department is working on Wikileaks... Exposed...

Thanks I&G but I am still waiting. Sometimes I think because I have contacted several different groups regarding ways to get the Embassy off the dime has slowed me down further. Maybe they are being vindictive or maybe I have grown paranoid. What ever it is the fact of the matter is I am stuck in limbo...

Thanks OBX. Hard to believe all this for one little paper not being the Original. And we got the original to them in 2 days. I just hope they dont find something else after all this waiting and then its back to the bottom again. Been there and done that. Well they cant mess with me much more. They have done their worst so not much more they can do. If push comes to shove I will live their. That will be good for the Philippine economy...ha ha

You know this all sucks and it is unfair. You will prevail though I know it.

Thank's to all Jujuswife, Emily and Loto... Have a Great Christmas with your special someone... I will be using the coal in my Christmas stocking to heat the house.

I know it will end but its like some sort of reality show for me but I know that I cant loose so they have to do other things to set me off. The good news is once this is all over my life will be good. If I should ever run into someone who works for the Embassy these may suffer a bit... at least their ears will ring haha.

I have a friend in Amman, Jordan. He is a naturalized citizen who is just started his process with the Embassy there. He has been asking some questions and I turned him on to VJ site. He can get more info from here than I could give him from people who are ahead of him. Like we did. I don't know that much about direct filing with the Consular Office but I think its shorter process.

Have a Great Christmas and I will try to keep my temper... or at least meter my outburst... Remember also the only real influence we have with this process or any other thing in Government is with our votes. So remember also to register and VOTE...

Update!!

My husband received green card in the mail today, we got the welcome letter a couple of days ago. :dance: Still no SS card :bonk: so this Monday we are going to the Social Security office and apply for a card.

Well 5 weeks have passed and not a word Teya. Guess they are busy with their shopping list. The good news it next week is the 6th week so using their own words I will hear from them in 6-8 weeks means I only have 2 more weeks to go right? Okay 3 weeks to go (MAX). Trying to be optimistic...

Tomorrow I am going Kayaking and hope it doesn't rain on us...

My husband received green card in the mail today, we got the welcome letter a couple of days ago. :dance: Still no SS card :bonk: so this Monday we are going to the Social Security office and apply for a card.

kool 3 weeks.. this is coool.

Tomorrow I am going Kayaking and hope it doesn't rain on us...

You do this here in Nashville..? It's cold here. Your embassy have 4 more weeks left to get this resolved.... sure hope they step up.

My wife got her interview at the American Embassy in Amman on Nov 2.

My wife sent in her passport and my original divorce docs (as requested) via Aramex on Nov 7. We are still waiting for her visa. She was told she was approved at the interview. She is pregnant in the second trimester now and we need to be together. I never knew it took so long to get the visa. I sent the American Emassy in Amman a second email on Dec 5 and I have not recieved a response as of yet. Hopefully, we'll get something soon.
