Anybody here who is waiting for an interview date with US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City? My case is done at NVC on August 12. Until now, I still have not heard anything from NVC for an interview date. Any suggestion for inquiry into this matter? Thank you.

Did you call NVC and speak to a human yet? I think that's the first thing you should do!! Good luck...

My timeline is very depressing that why I don't want to discourage people.

I see you joined in 2004. From the beginning you entered nothing. It must have been depressing from the very beginning then. Don't over rate your situation or underrate our ability to understand. Everyone here has been tested. Some more and some less but all have felt hopelessness. Its give and take on this site. Its not about you or what you think. It what everyone does here. Everything happens for a reason. I dont know your reasons but As they say the truth will set you free.

I did get through in August and NVC told me that I should be hearing the interview date for my spouse in September for October interview date. September came and gone, nothing. I called and got through late September, now they said September was full. NVC said the same thing, October scheduling for November interview date. I called 603-334-0700 since last Wed., Oct 06, and I could not get through. I will try to call again but I'm afraid to hear the same message from NVC, November scheduling for December interview date:-(

Whenever I called the NVC, I would use my speed dial number or if I'm usung another phone I just kept hitting the redial button. I have always gotten through. You can try calling around 7:30 a.m. Eastern time. I always got through then without problems. Good luck!

:ot: Congratulation to all the family's and to the Miners in Chile who were rescued today. I am sure they have a new out look on life ... How wonderful that something so tragic turned in to something amazing and heartwarming.

:ot2: I though my wife was getting her medical done for the last few days because I had not heard from her. Turns out she was just busy at work but she will be going Sunday to Manila so that she can be at the medical center by 0430. Thats crazy to me but I guess you go to do what you got to do. It will be a two day ordeal and I hope she brings all the things she will need. I have forwarded here many links to read over.

Once she is completed with her medical I will forward her more links pertaining to the Interview at the Embassy. Didnt want to give it to her all at once so she is not over whelmed by it. Her interview is on Nov 3 at 0630. I hope she gets a good sleep but would think that's difficult to do ...

Yeah I've been watching it too, it's simply awesome. I was teary eyed when I saw the first miner come out last night!

They got them all out so fast. I think it took just about 25 or 26 hours to get them all out even though they thought it would be until Friday. Very happy for them.
