Visa Appointment Scheduling System Username

I am a US citizen and have applied for a IR1 Visa for my Canadian wife. We received the letter from the Montreal Consulate saying that we can schedule an interview time at http://www.usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/login, but after we click on several "continue" buttons on through the website to make the appointment, we are brought to another login screen, here; https://www.usvisa-info.com/en/account/login

We did not receive a username or password with the letter and the email that we see in the selfservice website does not work when I tried clicking "Forgot Password". Have any of you seen this and/or know what to do? I emailed the consulate, but they will take a few weeks to reply.

A lot of people in the canada section of the forum have been posting about this in the last couple of days. some have fixed it by using the back buttons and then going forwards again. some have fixed it by exiting out and starting over again a number of times.

Not sure really because i didnt have to do this but if you head over to the canada area im sure theres a post there that could probably clear it up for you on how to get past it.

Today, I thought I would give the website one last try, and then I was going to call in the morning, but the website seems to be fixed. I had no problems scheduling an interview. The down side is that when we tried scheduling two days ago, the earliest interview was November 3. Today it was for two weeks later!

Yep interviews are being grabbed up really fast! sucks that their system is still flawed when trying to book.

Good to hear they have things straightened out. It's unfortunate the computer glitch cost you two weeks but it does seem to finally be speeding up the process at Montreal overall.

So you can schedule once you get your P3 or P4 ? I've been reading so much...I'm confused, lol.. at least I understand the new procedure..well that we can do it now over the phone or online....everything to that point is a mash. My head is still thumping from the stress of dealing with USCIS.

I believe K1 and DCF petitioners can self-schedule for Montreal but NOT CR1/IR1. CR1/IR1 pettioners can change their interview date, if needed, through the self-scheduling after it has been assigned but not initially.

Not that I have seen (aside from DCF petitioners.) Once they assign you an appointment you have the option of changing it but at this point i haven't heard of anyone being able to book it outright. I'd be interested to know if you hear anything differently.

BTW any luck contacting Montreal?
