Hello! I need help for my Dad.

My Dad is sick. He is a US Citizen. We want to get my brother here in US so he can visit my dad for his last few months.

I dont know what to file. My brother is the only immediate family left in my home country. His petition is pending. I am thinking if he can file for a tourist visa temporarily to visit my dad. But I am not sure on what specifically to file. Pls Help!

My brother is over 21 and unmarried. got stable job and is for sure will come back. Pls give some suggestions. Thanks!

Your brother will need a visitor visa (B2), and he has to file the application.

The application has to be prepared carefully so that it coincides with information already submitted on his pending petition. No guarantees if he will be granted one, even if it is for emergency purposes...he has to show strong ties to the Philippines.

One unique requirement your family has to produce in this situation is:

Visiting an Ailing Family Member – an up-to-date statement from a U.S. physician indicating the condition of the patient, including contact information so that, if necessary, the consul may contact the physician.

Visit the US Embassy Manila for instructions on how to apply for a B2 visa: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwhniv7.html

Hope this helps.
