We just called NVC and they already had the new case number! that was pretty fast.

Now how can I check the status of the case with this new number? is there a website or is it only through the fone? I can't seem to find a website where I can check it.

Thank you so much for your help. all of you.

Dodi's written 'how to call' and further down in that post, I've written about 'what you can get, and from whom'

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I jsut received an e-mail saying our visa has been approved and that they mailed NOA2 yesterday, the 20th. What I want to know is, how long should I wait before calling NVC for a new case number? I have tried researching on this website cause I'm sure this information is here somewhere, but all I could find were K1 guides, which says I should wait two weeks before calling NVC... However I think have read a few people stating they called after a few days and they were able to obtain a new case number. So what is it?

And also, for those of you who have gone through this, how long did it take for NVC to send your case to the american embassy at the beneficiary s home country?

I'm sorry if these are mundane questions, but I looked for the answers and couldn't find it.

Thank you

Hello,

A week after you know you know that your NOA2 were approved, you can call NVC and follow-up you case# and when they forward it to your consulate/emabassy.

Once you got your case# just wait less than a week from NVC to your embassy/consulate.

**If you want to track your case if really forwarded to your consulate/emabssy below link (forum) will help you and which really works to me:)
