Any member who filed DCF in Beijing.

How long did it take to finish the process? Did your wife or husband travel to your home before you filed the CR1?

Someone told me the embassy speeds up the process if your spouse traveled and returned before filing an immigration visa.

Anyone finish in less than a year?

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: China
Timeline

Here's the timelines of DCF filers in BeiJing -

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=&op1=i&op2=d&op3=5&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28&op6=All&op7=China&dfile=Yes

some things to note -

1. all of the names (well most) have 2 links that are clickable - one is the member profile page, the other is the detailed timeline page

2. not all of these are BeiJing - there are other Consulates listed as well (Shanghai, Shenyang, Guangzhou, Chengdu )

errata -

--MOST people finish up in less than a year - usually between 3 and 4 months, from 'file the I-130 ' to 'Interview Day.

--I-130 filers are supposed to file with the BeiJing USCIS office, which MOVED sometime (sorry, was late last year or early this year, can't remember now, which) and during the move, timing was a bit chaotic, as casefiles weren't touched during the move. 'Now' it seems ok to file, via BeiJing, that chaos is gone.

--When going in person, make sure you talk with USCitizen Employee (Visa Officer, Consular Official, Vice-Consul, etc) about yer case, the 'Chinese Workers' will tell you various info that is often wrong for 'next step'.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
