Hello,

My case is IR-1/CR-1 Visa.My case has been processing at NVC.My spouse is recently became us citizen.

I would like know info about

1)approximate time to get visa at Chennai consulate,India after NVC approval?

2) 1)approximate time to get visa at Montreal consulate,Canada after NVC approval?

Please let me know(Based on your experience) which consulate is faster in issuing visa?

Chennai Consulate is better to get interview date in 1.5 to 2 months time after NVC completion.

You're looking at 4-5 months after NVC completion for a visa at the montreal consulate

It is a very slow consulate

I believe consulate location can be changed via NVC. Give them a call and ask to speak to a supervisor. Montreal does seem to be speeding up a bit with their new self-scheduling but it had been backlogged for some time.
