Hi All,

Just a procedure kind question regarding Islamabad consulate. May be same true for other consulates as well. Since I've been reading that ISL consulate has a lot of checking before entering & no bags etc is allowed inside the consulate. I was just wondering if they atleast allow like a office kind of bag (like a laptop bag) so that one can put all the documents, albums, proofs etc in it. Since combining all the document copies for 2 applicants going together (my family) & the photo album can be a lot of papers, I bought a bag for them to take to the consulate & was wondering if it is allowed at the ISL consulate?

Thanks & Best Regards.

My experience is that they wont let you in with a large bag..i had put all my documents in one big bag so that i could easily carry it. However, i was told to get rid of that bag and put everything in plastic bags that they gave me. Those however, were so flimsy that i was sure they'd rip in less than an hour...

so i reccomend, take a large sturdy plastic bag that is transparent and put everything in it. I saw people carrying small to medium sized bags and apparently they were okay with that size and had let them in.

My suggestion, dont take a laptop bag...get something transparent instead.
