I received e-mail notification from USCIS that they already order card for my EAD... so this mean I can work soon right? my question is can I apply now for a possible job without the card yet? and does it mean that SS already updated my number since it says there (on my SS card ) that it is only valid with DH work permit... or I need to go to SS office to change my SS card?

You cannot change your SS card without having the EAD card (or green card) WITH YOU at the SS office. You will have to wait till you have the ead if you want to change your SS card.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I presume "changing" the SS card as it relates to the OP meant removing the work authorization language from the SS card.

If that is the case, the SS Administration will not "change" the SS card until the alien is in possession of a green card.

Friend of mine had this done when she recieved her EAD card, BEFORE she had green card. Took the EAD to the SS office and they removed the restricted words on the SS and sent her a new one without the words on it.

Interesting.

That would be a one-off, though. The clerk at her SS office apparently didn't know what they were doing.

EAD has a "shelf life" as indicated by the expiration date printed on the card. If an EAD expires then the alien cannot work. An alien who holds ONLY an EAD as proof of work authorization should not issued an unrestricted SS number.

But as we see nearly every day in this community, there ARE uninformed people working for the SS Administration. You're friend got "lucky". Other K1 entrants will not get the same result.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.
