35 days since NOA and No biometric appointment letter yet

Hi VJ ers ,

We filled my AOS EAD and AP package along with the I 130

We sent the package to Chicago lock box on Aug 14th and we got 4 NOAs for our applications on August 17th.

There is no news on our case after that. The last updated dates on the USCIS website are Aug 31. I have not gotten the biometric appointment date yet.

Is there any way that we could get more info on our case? any pointers would be of great help.

Aug14 : Mailed I-485, I-765, I-131 to USCIS Chicago Lockbox

Aug23 : Checks cashed and Received NOAs that the application was accepted on Aug 17th

Sep 23 : USCIS updated their site saying that they mailed a notice for my I 485 and EAD.I called then and found that there was a typo in the address(USCIS mistake.They resent the mail immediately)

Sep 25 : Got the notice that the USCIS re mailed.It was Biometric appointment letter. Appointment date OCT 8.

Sep 29 : Got email from USCIS that my AP is approved.

Sep 30 : AP touched

Sep 30 : Biometrics walkin. (Finished biometrics in < 5 minutes) @ ASC Charcot ave San Jose,CA

Sep 30 : EAD card production ordered.

Oct 1 : AOS touched

Oct 1 : EAD touched

Oct 3 : Received a appointment notice for biometrics again for the second time.

Oct 5 : EAD touched.(got a second email for card production) also I called the USCIS and informed them tha I have not received my AP approval notice yet.It was mailed to me on 29th Sep.

Oct 6 : Received email "EAD approval notice mailed to you"

Oct 7 : EAD touched.

Oct 8 : Went to the ASC san jose to check on my second biometrics appointment letter.They said that it was just a system error and that there is nothing that I need to do.

Oct 9 : Received the EAD card in mail

Off late people have been receiving their biometrics letter pretty late.It also depends on how backed up your local USCIS office is.You can only call them after a month (from your NOA1 date) has passed and ask them to put in a service request for your letter.

Yup, service request is the only thing you can do so far. I'm still waiting on mine...

What is your local ASC (Application support center)? It seems that most people have problems with Dallas, Tx.

You can use the link below to find your ASC, which is not necessary the same as the filed office (where you will have the interview)

07/26/2010 Checks cleared, Touches on all 3 app(I-131, I-485, I-765)

08/30/2010 Put in a service request for biometrics ( used receipt number for I-485)
09/03/2010 Touch on I-765
09/07/2010 Touch on I-765
09/07/2010 E-mail about service request - everything suspended awaiting biometrics
09/16/2010 Called 800 number again, had my call escalated to a IO. Confirmation that biometrics appointment is still not yet scheduled. Advised to wait a little bit more.
09/23/2010 Called 800 number some more. Biometrics appointment being updated in the system as we were speaking. (NOT!)
09/30/2010 Infopass. EAD approved on 09/03! Nice IO printed out an appointment letter for biometrics, did the walk-in, Card Production Ordered.
10/05/2010 Second card production ordered ( date they actually mailed the EAD out)
10/07/2010 Touch on I-765
10/09/2010 Received EAD card in the mail (sent on 10/05)

Hi,

Contact USCIS @ 800 375 5283, when the customer service rep come on the phone, request to speak to second level customer service. they will give you details about your case. That what i had to do to find out information on my application when i was in Limbo and didn't know what was going on. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

It depends on how busy your local office is. I had been waiting for 3.5 months for my bio letter, until I finally contacted our congressman for assistance. (I am pregnant and my window for travel was getting pretty small). What is your local office? Knowing that may help others give you some insight.

I sent my AOS EAD and AP packages to Chicago lock box. My NOA had a note saying that my case is being processed in the NBC National benefits center and I did not hear anything more.

I live in Sunnyvale,CA and my closest ASC would be sanjose.
