Filed I-134 in SF for my sister to visit from Manila

Ideally she should apply for a visa 3 months before an intended visit to the US. Here's the link to the application process: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwhniv1.html

Here is the link to specific requirements of the B1/B2 process: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwhniv7.html

The I-134 is not required for her application...it bears little weight, I'm afraid:

Affidavit of Support

In general, affidavits of support of any sort from relatives or sponsors will be of little value to an applicant (except to student visa applicants). The Affidavit of Support is a requirement only for immigrant visas. The interviewing officer is less concerned about how the applicant will be supported during his or her stay in the United States than whether the applicant has compelling reasons to return home. We encourage the interested third parties to save their time and money and not prepare affidavits of support.

What she needs to prove is that she has strong ties to the Philippines and she fully intends to exit the US after her visit is over.

Here is the link that explains Evidence of Ties: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwhnv03.html

How quickly she is able to visit is determined by her ability to complete all the requirements and when the available interview date is.

Hope this helps.

What is the process and timeline for my sister to visit from Manila after the I-134 has been filed?

Thank you for your help.
