k1 visa affidavit of support

I had my k1 visa interview in Islamabad 11 months ago and they put my case in Admin processing. When i sent my documents for the interview in checklist requirement affidavit of support was present, but i didn't submit affidavit of support and embassy didn't ask it to me that why didn't i submit it.

My case is in admin processing, do not providing affidavit of support can be the one of delaying reason ? recently they did field investigation at my fiancée side and collected information about her job and earnings and bank accounts.

Also i would like you guys to comment on the statement.

last week My fiancée called state department lady picked the call, lady call agent was very friendly and she told my fiancée that

"there is intrinsic background checking going on for your fiancé(for me) and to be honest it can take up to couple of years".

please also comment on above lady statement.

Its already 11 months and still checking could not be done i am afraid.

If you have been that long you are in the group that there is something that was a strong issue in the checks. It may take another year unfortunately. When it is done you will need new police and medical along with a current affidavit of support.
