Current timeline from I-864 and DS-3032

I had an appointment with our lawyer on Friday and We filled out the I-864. She told me she will fill out the DS-3032 and get it in the mail same day.

So my question is, what is the current trend in processing time at the NVC like? I see some people that were on the ball have an interview date already, but I can't really figure out how long it's taking the NVC to case compete.

Can anyone help me? I want a rough estimate of when the NVC case complete will be. Is it likely to have an interview date by christmas?

P.S. what else do I have to do now? we were told get ready for medical, and start scrap booking some evidence of our relationship for the interview.

Check with your attorney if they are going to pay AOS and IV fee online and send the documents with the barcoded sheet after the online payment. If yes, you will be done your NVC stuff in 1 to 2 months time.

Otherwise, fire this attorney and follow the link in my signature by yourself.

Because if your attorney waits for every piece of information by snail mail, it would take many months.

AOS and IV fee have already been paid online by me a few weeks ago.

Then there is no problem. Now let your attorney prepare your AOS and IV package and sent them to NVC. You should be done NVC in a month after your attorney send those to NVC (Make sure he/she sends both the packets). Depending on the Consulate, it might take couple of months (may be 2) to schedule the interview. Please check your consulate how long it takes after NVC completion.

thanks loto. I'll call her on monday to find out exactly what was mailed to NVC. I was okay to leave after we filled out the 864, she said "i'll take care of the rest" and rest i think she meant the 230 package.

When you call her, make sure printed bar code cover sheet 'each' for AOS and IV after the payment are included in the package.
