I'm having a hard time trusting this website now. The Immigration Timelines posted for I-130's at CSC are allways jumping around. Earlier in the week it said May 15 then a few days later it said May 5 now today it say's April 29.

Yet it says July 2 for VSC. There is much good information here that helps but I have lost all faith in this website.

You've lost faith because this website cannot accurately predict the approval date of your petition? Sorry, but no website can do that.

This is a great website, full of good advice and support. It is not designed to predict your approval date.

Good luck

You seemed to miss my point today. I understand this website cannot predict when I will get approval for my petition. My point is why do the dates constantly go up and down for CSC but remain constant for VSC. Yes the wesite has great info and guides.

I totally agree with Canadian Wife. This site is superb and has supported and helped me with every aspect of the immigration process. I understand your frustration as I went through a very similar thing. As per the last post, do understand that these immigration 'timelines' as posted on the site only reflect an estimation based on how many members add information to their own timelines. If you obtained or reached a particular point but didn't want to or forgot to update your timeline, then that information is not included and therefore the 'estimation' or guestimation is influenced.

It's best to not be overly concerned with the timeline estimations on the site because if you view them as written in stone, you'll lose what's probably left of your patience and your mind lol :bonk:

Good luck and enjoy the site.

Because it depends on who is updating their timeline and who has their case at CSC and VSC. If a lot of people updated their timelines who have cases at CSC, then yes, those dates are going to change

are you volunteering for the 'update yer timeline' committee?

It's a lot of work, you'll have to study the timelines in VJ and bug people often, to update their timelines -

the 'date jumping' that you are referencing, is based on VJ members who

1. fill in their timelines

2. don't fill in their timelines

3. fill it incorrectly and

4. fill it in properly

the 'prediction' is only as good as the validity of the data

so if the data is

wrong,

missing, or

incomplete

then there's some 'weight' applied , a 'confidence interval' hunk of math thrown in to 'compute' today's best guesstimate for when you might have an I-130 approval.

Seriously - if you'd like to volunteer, let me know? It's a thankless task, ya rarely make friends when doing it.

Otherwise - hey - sorry - this 'date' changes often, you won't know for certain, until you actually know about the NOA-2 date.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
