Please help me answer these quetions on I-864 I will list them by number on the form.

21. When calculating household size if you enter the number of persons you are sponsoring on line 21a it include your spouse if you then put 1 in line 21c you have entered them twice. Therefore do you leave 21c blank?

Part 3 question 9. I am sponsoring 2 stepkids that will immigrate at the same time. Question 9 says do not include any relative listed on a seperate petition. I have filed an I-130 for each my wife and 2 stepkids. Therefore do I list the kids on 9a and would I list the mother and sibling on the childs I-864? On line 10 if I add them I would then have the correct number of immigrants I am sponsoring which would be 3.

My I-130 was approved on 09-16-2010 when should I call NVC to receive a case#?

Thanks for the help.

21. When calculating household size if you enter the number of persons you are sponsoring on line 21a it include your spouse if you then put 1 in line 21c you have entered them twice. Therefore do you leave 21c blank?

In Part 3, aside from your wife, your stepchildren should have been listed in #9, and the box in #8 you should have checked I am sponsoring the principal applicant named in part 2 above. (your wife). So your total in #10 should be 03 (your wife + your 2 stepchildren). Yes, 21c is blank. 21.a should say 03

Question #9 says: Iam sponsoring the following family members immigrating at the same time or within six months of the principalimmigrant named in Part 2 above...again, the principal applicant is your wife, so the persons immigrating with her at the same time she is are your 2 stepchildren. No other relatives, like parents you may be sponsoring must be listed in this I-864...they would need a separate affidavit.

My I-130 was approved on 09-16-2010 when should I call NVC to receive a case#?

In the IR1/CR1 process, it is the NVC that will assign you a case number...but you can wait a week for your application to be in the system, then you can try calling them just to get ahead of the game. :) Do a search on a VJ member named thepizzadude and just get the contact numbers for NVC, ignore all the other shortcuts on his posts because they only apply to K1/K2 and K3/K4 applicants.

Thanks for the help.

You're welcome :) Don't forget to check the box in #9 when you add your stepchildren.

Good luck with your journey!
