Hi Guys,

I asked this question before, but I looked at the form again, and again

I'm so confused.

How many people I'm sponsoring on this form, if it's only my wife, why I ending up

with total of two people? I'm not sponsoring myself right? The questions they ask is:

Persons you're not sponsoring in this affidavit = 1 (myself)

Enter 1 if you're currently married = 1 (wife)

Enter the number you entered on line 10 = 1 (wife)

So how many should be total? 2 or 3 ?

Please advise :wacko:

12/06/2010 -- NVC Received

12/07/2010 -- AOS fee paid

12/10/2010 -- DS-3032 NVC Received

12/11/2010 -- AOS I-864 mailed

12/15/2010 -- IV Bill invoiced

12/16/2010 -- IV Bill showed as paid

12/16/2010 -- DS-230 sent

12/17/2010 -- DS-230 NVC Received

12/21/2010 -- Entered DS-230 into the system

01/10/2011 -- RFE for i-864 signature

01/11/2011 -- RFE NVC Received

01/13/2011 -- RFE entered into system

SIF - 01/31/2011 :) Thank God!

Case completed - 02/01/2011

Interview - 03/29/2011 Scheduled on 02/11/2011

03/29/2011 put on AP for two weeks

04/16/2011 POE JFK!

Then the total should only be 1...since you are just sponsoring a spouse and no children.

In question #21, when you are computing the HOUSEHOLD SIZE, then the total should be 2 (as in, 2 family members). The feds will check if you meet the income requirement based on the household size.

04-05-2018: Case status updated - Interview Scheduled on May 10, 2018, 10:15 a.m. :D

05-10-2018: Citizenship Interview - Passed English and Civics Tests, Recommended for Approval! :D 

06-19-2018: Received email and text notification: Naturalization Ceremony Scheduled; waited for letter to be uploaded on online account - it has been set on Wednesday, July 25, 3:00 p.m.

07-25-2018: I am now a U.S. Citizen!

Looks like in my case It should be two persons total, but question that asks if you're currently married, enter 1 for your spouse,

so it comes to 3 again :blink:

The amount is basically before taxes as on your employment letter. I hope you are in W2.

I know you are filing for your wife. So your household is 2. You need to show the income above $18,212.
