Hello everyone

We are doing the Visa K1 procedures threw an attorney when we got the NOA2 on august 10th they said that after 4 weeks I can go directly to the consulate to get my packet 4 and invitation letter, we got all requirements ready and we bought the flight tickets but lawyer sent us an email saying that I have to wait for an invitation letter before to go to the consulate in Ciudad Juarez Mexico.

Im confused because in VJ says that I can just walk in if I am ready, I tried to call to the embassy but no one number worked. I dont know what else to do, I want to be done with all this waiting, is killing me! My fiance lives in Mexico with me his job will be over in the first week of October and we would like to leave together/

Please help us any comment and advice is very appreciated! Thanks

First of all, there is no packet 4 for Juarez. There is no 'packet' at all really. The 'packet' is just instructions they provide you, to let you know what forms and papers you will need to bring to your interview. Here is the page for the Juarez Consulate about the K-1 : http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/fianceforms.html

The instruction 'packet' can be found here : http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/root/pdfs/k1packet-complete_may2010.pdf

The number to call them is on those papers.

You just need to make sure that you contact them and they let you know that your case was received by them, and your letter mailed out. If that has happened, then you do not have to wait for the letter, you can go directly there, get in line early ( I believe I read from someone else here that the information window to pick up your letter opened at 7:30m), and get your interview letter directly from them.

Good luck!
