Hey Folks,

Petitioner must have to sponser the intending immigrants ?

If petitioner (A) can't sponser and another relative (B) is ready to provide sponsership .... then should we just include relative (B) as sponser and is it okay if we just send I-864A form ?

OR PETITIONER's must have to send I-864 ???

In other words Relative (B), can sponser stand alone ? or he/she needs petitioner's I-864 (although he can't provide sponsership) /....

Thanks for your replies.

True! How small the salary of the petitioner both the co-sponser and the petitioner must fill and sign on the papers. Each with their own form. If the co-sponspor is someone living with you or another person outside the house, the form would be i-864A(correct me if i am wrong) i had co sponsor a friend we both filled i-864 both presented our tax returns all that things...so good luck

Kruz,

A will always file I-864.

if B is household member then I-864A and if B is joint sponsor then I-864.

A joint sponsor can be any U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident who is at least 18 years old, domiciled in the United States, or its territories or possessions, and willing to be held jointly liable with the petitioner for the support of the intending immigrant. A joint sponsor does not have to be related to the petitioning sponsor or the intending immigrant.
