Hi, I´d like to know how many co-sponsors are permited for K1-k2 visa?

You can prepare as many separate packets as you like, but do know that joint sponsors may not be combined to make up the required level of support. You are therefore advised to focus on getting one solid joint sponsor, if your consulate allows them.

I had two joint sponsor packets sent to my fiance--but only in case one didn't somehow qualify.

Many consulates do not accept cosponsors for K1 visas at all.. check with your specific consulate for guidance...

For the I-134 incomes cannot be combined. As stated previously, a cosponsor would have to qualify solely on their own individual income (and/or assets).

At the Adjustment of Status phase the I-864 affidavit of support is used and that does allow for combining incomes (in some circumstances).

I´m sorry, I´m having a hard time just trying to understand this in my native language (spanish) so is even harder in english :P .

My fiance (the petitioner) doesn´t meet the poverty guideline because he wasn´t working for a couple of years (but is currently working), so the tax return is practically nonexistent.

His mother offered to co-sponsor me though. Is this a valid option for the I-134?

If his CURRENT income is sufficient the fact he was unemployued before has nothing to do with it. If he qualifies NOW he does not need a co-sponsor at all. You qualify with current income, NOT past income.

The tax return exists or it does not exist. There is no such thing as "practically non-existant" If he made $213.23 LAST year and currently has a job paying $43,000 per year (or $23,000 per year) and can show that with check stubs and employment letter (for example) he qualifies.

Attach a copy of the tax return and evidence of his current income and sleep well.

Thanks for your response.

His current income is not enought so a co-sponsor is a must.
