Have you tried asking the English speaking VJ members on the China Regional Forum? I know there is one but I can't remember the name...one of them should be able to send you a link.

Is there a chinese language forum where my Fiance can go to get the great information I have been gettting here?

Its called 001

Amaro, I went to this site, but 001 is all advertisments. Am I in the wrong section. I have google translate on my computer, so I could read the posts, but this was nothing like this forum. I am looking for something where K-1 applicants can talk about their experiences and needs to get the Visa. Thanks, Bill

No clue where Amaro got that website. Here is the VisaJourney Regional subforum for China:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/94-china/

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I posted this on the main VJ K1 board and they suggested I try here. Is there a forum like this that my Fiance can access to get all this great advise that I have been seeing here.I tried to get her to come to this board, But she doesn't like it, because it is all in English and obviously she is Chinese, from Taishan. Thanks for your help. Bill

This is the China forum on VisaJourney. It seems to be mostly in English but there is some in Chinese as well.

Duplicate copy moved from K-1 forum and merged with topic posted posted in the China Regional forum.

Speedytax, there is no specific forum written in Chinese on Visa Journey, in fact, only English is allowed on the main immigration forums. The closest we have are the Regional Forums where country or region specific languages and dialects are allowed. Some forums are predominantly in the host country language while others are a mixture. She can ask her question here in Chinese and invite answers in Chinese - that is the probably the best option for her. We do have many VJ members who are part of a Chinese American couple so there is definitely a lot of information available. I hope your fiancee is able to find some of this of use to help her in understanding the immigration process. Good luck.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Thanks Zookeeper, for moving my post to the corrrect forum. But as for her asking the questions in Chinese, SHe would have to know what to ask. I got most of my questions after reading your members posts. She wouldn't understand how to sign up,and while she is studying English, she would have a hard time understanding all these legal issues. I guess I will have to keep looking,Maybe another website for her. Thanks, Bill

Hullo Bill/SpeedyTax -

The 001 site does have some useful information in it -

but

be warned...

Much of that info there is outdated,

and

There's a 'perpetual game' going on there - with some senior members that love to f#*k with newbies - to

give them the wrong information and

force them into doing things the wrong way.

The sad part, or sadder part, really - is that

since it's a Chinese Woman giving advice to another Chinese Woman -

the 'advice' is taken as gospel, always. You may find yourself actually arguing with your wife on some issues, on things she's learned at the 001 forum. She'll think she's right, because of that predeliction for a Chinese woman to believe another Chinese woman first, before listening to even her husband.

there's a chinese language forum at http://www.candleforlove.com

and some other support at http://www.chinafamilyvisa.com

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Sorry here is the actual address. I thought I found the previous URL odd

http://www.001.com.cn/

This one is it.

Be VERY, VERY, VERY cautious about giving this site to any Chinese fiancee because there are a lot of women on this site who give bad advice and love playing "big sister" and causing trouble. You are better off directly asking members on this forum or over on Candle for Love for a direct line of communication. You can trade your girls QQ address and most questions can be answered based on the experience that each person has. A K1 is not going to be so helpful for a CR1, ect. Good luck. :innocent::thumbs:
