Question #20 on the DS-230 is: Father's Date of Birth (mm-dd-yyyy)

You can't enter a range on someone's date of birth...was this the item you had a question on, or was it on a different number?

Form DS230 question 20 - WIll starting the dates from, 'date of birth - present' instead of '16th birthday - present' trigers a RFE?

be straight with your question so as to assist.

I am referring to this question on Form DS230 - '20. List below all places you have lived for at least six months since reaching the age of 16, including places in your country of nationality'.

I filled in my 'month and year of birth - Present'

Will this be acceptable by NVC?

just fill in the year and month you dont need the dates and calculate your age as to make sure its well calculated.dont fill any where you stayed outside the country if its not more than six months.if more than six months, you need a police clearance then.hope it helps.

if you have not lived outside your address since birth just fill your date of birth-till date.

Enter the "month and year you were 16 years old - Present"

It's question #30 on the DS-230, not #20; question #20 is Father's Date of Birth (mm-dd-yyyy).
