I'm not sure if it has to do with the frontloading or not. Honestly, we frontloaded it with relationship evidence and the I-134. Other than that, it was the basic I-129F packet. I think we just got really lucky, and I hope our luck holds out when it comes time for the AOS.

I think it pays to be prepared. The guy literally said to him, "Why would you not be approved? Everything is here, and in triplicate." So next time, we'll do the same thing, and prep it up good and proper before we send things in. AOS, here we come! :dance:

08-30-11 - Victoria returns to US

VISA APPROVED TODAY!!! :dance::dance:

His interview took literally half an hour. He was out of the embassy in an hour flat!

The attorney had front-loaded my I-129F with everything, including the I-134, so the only things they asked for were his birth certificate and police certificate. They said, "Everything looks to be in order," and sent him off to pay the courier. They said he should have it by next Wednesday-Friday and not to buy the ticket till it was in hand and congratulated him!!

We're getting married in a month!!! He'll be here in less than a month!!! OMG :wow::lol::dance::star:

And I'm off to update my timeline..... THANK YOU VISAJOURNEYERS!!! (F):D

It is good to know that despite the wrong advice you were given at first, your overall waiting time was not too long. Of course, as I well know, any time away from one's sweetie is too long! Again, congratulations on your fiance's approval and it's crunch time to get ready for the wedding!

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Feb 20 2010 - Spent 8 amazing days in Caribbeans with my fiancee

April 16 2010 - Traveled to Ukraine

April 22 2010 - Returned to US

April 27 2010 - K1 filed

April 29 2010 - NOA 1

May 4 2010 - Touch

June 30 2010 - Touch

June 30 2010 - NOA 2!!!

July 06 2010 - NOA 2 Hard copy received

July 11 2010 - NVC still still didn't receive approved petition from USCIS. Sent inquiry via email to NVC regarding my case

July 13 2010 - USCIS claims that they sent my petition on July 6th to NVC. Sent inquiry to USCIS.

July 21 2010 - USCIS sent email saying approved petition was lost in transit, asking to submit duplicate copy in order to reconstruct my case

July 29 2010 - Duplicate copy sent to Vermont Service Center.

August 10 2010 - USCIS sent email. Original petition found

August 10 2010 - second NOA 2 issued.

August 12 2010 - NVC received petition

August 13 2010 - NVC forwarded the case to Kiev embassy !!!

September 6 2010 - Medical Exam

September 27 2010 - INTERVIEW!!!

September 27 2010 - Visa Approved!!!

October 5 2010 - Arrived to US!!!

We have a similar timeline, and my fiance goes for his interview on the 21st. This is inspiring and hopeful for us!

Did you apply throught the local Oklahoma City, OK USCIS location? Or did you mail it off to Vermont? Just kinda confused...I'm from OK too..that's why. Thanks and congratulations...hope I can say mine is that quick.
