apply for SSN after entering the US

Thanks for the help again, now my fiancee is in the US with me!

I think the next step is to get SSN. I read the guide it says I should wait 2 weeks before going to the social security office, and also need to bring passport and another form of ID. I'm not sure what other form of ID my fiancee has other than her passport.

Please advise.

yup - that's enough. many people bring a birth certificate, as well - did you bring over any white books?

be cautious of what they tell you at the office. Unfortunately the SSN clerks tend to think they are also immigration attorneys. Just ask for what you need and smile/nod if they tell you things you know to not be true. :innocent::thumbs:
