If nothing is done about Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, they WILL go bankrupt, you do

understand that, don't you? And when they do, their collapse will hurt the very people

you're trying to help.

Demonstrate that you have empathy for the people these programs help instead of indulging in rhetoric that demonizes them at every possible opportunity, and then we'll trust your proposed solutions.

I have every intention of downsizing the military *and* everything else. There's no

magic bullet - everything must be downsized.

Are you standing for office? If not, name one candidate under the tea party umbrella who embraces the idea of downsizing not only the military but 'everything' else, as apposed to simply turning back the clock on health care reform and social security? I've heard the latter, but not a peep about the former. Could you be imagining that it must be true simply because you hear the siren call of 'fiscal responsibility'? I fear that call is very strong for you not to be able to resist it, and yet, no evidence anywhere that this is even likely, let alone a positive policy.

The candidates that I have encountered who are standing on the tea party platform are universally palinesqe in political stature - that and the fact that they have no policy beyond these siren calls that seem so pleasing to you but lack any substance whatsoever. Plus, it's endorsed by Glenn Beck. I don't think I need any more reasons to dismiss it as drivel.
