Thank you again for the advice Harpa. yes, i think i'll just wait and see, and if it doesn't go through after 75-90 days i'll just go for the infopass.

hey mate i am in the same boat.... look at my time line...i live in Queens and i am also waiting desperately for my EAD.....

Have you tried calling them? Maybe because we're both from NY, and from what i've heard, they're sloooowww in processing documents.

Still nothing from them. touch/letter or whatsoever

Have you tried calling them? Maybe because we're both from NY, and from what i've heard, they're sloooowww in processing documents.

Still nothing from them. touch/letter or whatsoever

I am also in NYC and got no touches for an entire month after biometrics. I called when I had not had any touches and the USCIS person said they don't reflect what is actually happening at all, and not to worry about it.

Suddenly then I got an email that my EAD had been approved and a day or two later I got a card-- even before it said that the card production had been ordered online (in fact... I don't think it ever said my card had been ordered).

Check my NYC time line for comparison. Good luck!

08/02/2013- Case status updated, production of new card ordered!
08/05/2013- InfoPass appointment at Holtsville Long Island, passport stamped with I-551
08/06/2013- Card mailed

I want to add that your local office has NOTHING to do with the EAD and AP. That is all done at the National Benefit Center. Your local office only conducts your interview, and NYC isn't that slow. Good luck. Be patient.
