You assume a lot by suggesting that anyone would or should listen to his demands and that those who do would be citizens of the US - not that the US is exempt from its own nutters, in fact far from it - but that is a diversion, trying to guess who might be inspired to action by the call from a hateful little man like Awlaki. Personally, I don't know anyone who would be, do you?

Of course - Awlaki is the bad guy here.

Never mind that Awlaki is thousands of miles away from the US, and the woman whose

life is in danger lives in Seattle.

She moved to Tacoma. They'll never think of looking there.

The head of CAIR was on the radio in Seattle today and answered exactly the questions I asked here, and more. Without the dodging and horse poo dodging seen so often here.

He stated the cartoonist was his friend, met after her Draw Mohamad Day joke blew up worldwide. He expressed deep concern over the safety of his non-Muslim friend. He stated clearly and eloquently that this and fatwas like it are to be condemned. He did not try to dodge Islam from this loony cleric, but was clear in his condemnation of Islamic Radicals such as this cleric.

He was also clear and unapologetic that yes the joke was quite offensive to many Muslims across the globe who do indeed believe their prophet is off limit to jokes and slights.

In fact he may have put himself at risk with his comments. A sincere and brave man. If I can find a link to post the audio of the interview I will.
