nayalamb,

I'm not sure, because the disclaimer after each episode goes by pretty quick, but I believe there's something in there to the effect that the producers have a say in the outcomes, it's not just the judges' fashion sense that determines the winners and losers.

Anyone, who can read fast, or with a DVR, who can clarify?

i think michael should have won this last one, but i think they just wanted to give it to laura since she hadn't won one before and had make a much better effort than last weeks frilltastic mess.

I happen to like Jeffrey...ever since the 'trash' episode. Thought his outfit was the best & he was robbed cos Michael draped some plastic wrap over his model.

Jeffrey's outfit last night was a disaster tho...really quite yukky! But I thought his couture gown was nice...I wouldn't wear it...but at the end of the day, in the world of 'high fashion' there are tons of things I see in mags and on runway shows that I think '#######???' His gown looked very well constructed and I think was the best. Especially since couture is hand done...and his supposedly was mostly hand done.

And he's a b@stard, so of course I find him entertaining :P

sigh... thanks yodrak and lisa... and thanks bravo for your fair and unbiased decision-making

maybe next year they can do a runway "all-stars"... santino rice, jeffrey, wendy pepper, austin scarlett, kayne, angela, zulema, andrae, vincent and daniel franco... the one who's still alive at the end wins! because with all the drama, tackiness and attitude, there would be some serious brawls!

LisaD,

At the time of the episode I thought 'couture' meant 'high fashion' and couldn't understand why Jeffrey won that competition. So I looked up the word and learned that yes, fashionable is part of it, but not necessarily 'high' fashion, and custon-made is the other part of couture. With that new understanding, I can see why Jeffrey won that competition.

I still can't get over his neck ....

karo,

My bets are on Michael to win. I agree with Frances that, like Santino, Jeffrey is being kept on till the last cut more for the entertainment value he provides than for his designs.

Yodrak

....

I still maintain that up until now Michael has shown the most versatility!

I'm backin Jeffrey to win....granted, that thing he made last week & the thing for Ang's mom were atrocious, but I think he's the most talented in not churning out the same shite week after week.

I thought it wasn't on until next week - isn't this a "bye" week?

I think you may be right...coulda swore last week they were like 'in two weeks...'

If you go to fourfour's blog and read the comments to it, someone posted a link to the collections shown at fashion week. I was SHOCKED by Jeffrey's...they were so...anti-Jeffrey. It's a spoiler but it was interesting.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Yeah, it looks like the next new PR is next week. :crying: Apparently they are showing last seasons finale tonight.

I took a peek at the Fashion Week collections - just couldn't help myself despite the spoiler! - and didn't think ANY of them looked interesting. Not even Michael's. Just hoping the actual runway looks better than the still photos.

My money would be on Wendy Pepper. But then again, she just spent so much $$$ on her new face that she'd probaly wouldn't want to get hurt

I think the season finale will be on Oct 11 and then Top Chef season 2 will start on Oct 18. Tonight's episode will choose the final 3 that will go to Olympus Fashion Week. I couldn't figure out which one is the decoy, maybe Uli ? Or Laura ? I'm pretty sure they will keep Jeffrey for drama purposes and Michael is too good to be eliminated unless he makes huge disaster tonight. I wish they kick Uli out though... she is *yawn*

Uh oh, it looks like there won't be new episode tonight, they will just re-run the Black and White episode. Info from http://bloggingprojectrunway.blogspot.com/

Not sure if this is true.

Final episode will be Oct 11 and Oct 18.

Well that was a disappointment

Lauras dress was beautiful and superb fit as always but same old same old

Jeffreys was gross (loved the comment about suitable for milking cows)

Michaels was trashy badly made uninspired and yuckyyyyy

Uli's was marginally different but reminded me so much of a dress my sister had 30 years ago :lol:

But i guess as hers was possibly best on the night and they couldnt chuck out jeffrey or Michael then they had to keep all four. Cant imagine Uli making a collection (are there that many bold fabrics  ) dhould be fun on finals night
