I've said more than once that folks who believe what the terrorists say about Islam are more like them than not.

I'd second this. Close-minded people are ignorant regardless of religion.

If you're doing the convincing for them among the people you encounter on a daily basis, they don't have to work as hard to create division and hate among neighbors. You can do it for them.

If you hate Muslims because of 9/11.... you got played. And you're allowing the terrorists to win. Sofiyya is absolutely spot-on with this statement. The terrorists can't beat us. But, they can create an environment that allows (and encourages) us to defeat ourselves.

If you guys ever high-fived over the pictures of "terrorists" being kidnapped and shipped to Guantanamo or applauded the extraordinary renditions.... or even simply said, "I think they should wiretap and torture all those dirty cowards".............. you're helping us lose.

We don't win by defeating terror. We win by standing up for our ideals and allowing EVERYONE to practice what WE preach. Tolerance, freedom, independence. When we live with bigotry, suspicion, hate.... we lose.

From what I read of BY's post on this board, he mainly asked questions while posting facts. Some posters on here failed to answer BY's questions while ignoring the facts. Although a certain group of posters may find that antagonistic, I fail to see how BY's post incite hatred.

The way to defeat BY is to ask him questions. He's good at posting his own info and sticking to it.... not so much at coming up with answers to your questions. Ignore his BS and counter his points not with facts.... but inquiries!
