I applied for a re entry permit because I'm expecting to be out of the country for more that 6 months or more and rather than play the" what if" game on my return I wanted to get the permit before I left. well I applied a while back and i'm leaving in 3 weeks, and hadn't received anything bio appt. letter in the mail so made an info pass appt. for 9/9/10 to ask about the bio appt. they told me the Bio appt. was set for the 13th and that i should get the appt. letter in the mail in the next few days, well the 13th rolled around with no appt. letter so I went to the Bio office anyway I knew what time the appt was for so i thought I'd show up on the day and time I was told and hope for the best... well on the 13th the bio office was CLOSED! because of a water main break on the other side of the building... everything else was open except for their office!

So here is my question... I STILL haven't received my appt. letter and the notice on the door of the USCIS office on monday said to mail your appt. letter to them so they can reschedule the appt for you... So I'm not sure what to do? it's been 5 days since i made the info pass appt. I'm leaving very soon so need to get the bio stuff done... would it be wise just to head down there with out the letter and talk to them? I know how strict they are about things and don't want to wasted my time if they won't see me... any thoughts would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks
