Dear All,

I'm going to complete I-130 form

I'll tell you little about my case.

I'm from Egypt, I married my wife 2 years ago

My wife is Egyptian American (American by naturalization), so she entered Egypt without visa

She went back to USA to get our first baby, then stayed there around 6 months, then she came back again.

Now she stayed in Egypt after coming from usa for around 1 year, and we will go for the visa procedures from Cairo together.

Now coming to my questions:

1- What is the appropriate "Proof that the petitioner has maintained continuous residency in the consular district a minimum of the preceding six months in order to demonstrate residency" ?

2- Should we fill 2 copies of "g-325a" or just one for my wife?

3- Our Address in the marriage certificate is different than my current one in the passport because I relocated...is it an issue?

4- Regarding I-130:

1- Information about you: means about the US Citizen or the petitioner, your relative is the Egyptian Spouse...Am I right?

2- Can I write in the PDF file, then print it? what if the provided space isn't enough [it writes +]

3- Question #1: (Name, First, Middle)....Please tell me how to write them because in Egypt we have different style of wring names...

Assume that my first name is X, my father name is Y, Grandpa name is Z, last name is T

4- Question 2 : It asks about the address of petitioner...Which address should I write? in Egypt or in USA (knowing that my wife lives with me in Egypt)

5- Question 10: Alien Registration number? what is it?

6- Question 13: Has your relative ever been in USA? What is the meaning of this question? my relative is American, how comes he never been is US?

7- Question 14: If you are a lawful permanent resident alien...What that means?

8- Question 14-b: did u gain permanent resident status through marriage to us citizin? It's related to the previous question

9- Question 16: has your relative ever been under immigration proceedings? is that means my wife was punished from immigration? or means that one day she was making immigration procedures just like me now

10- Part C: information about your relative:

Is asks for list of wives, childs...Does it include my current wife whom is applying for me and our kid or what?

11- Question 20: If your relative native alphabet is other than Roman, write name and address...is that means to write my name in arabic language?

I know that it was too long and boring for some, but I really green hand in those issues

I would appreciate any help

Thank you in Advance

--> You need to fill up one g-325a form for you and for ur wife.

3- Our Address in the marriage certificate is different than my current one in the passport because I relocated...is it an issue?

-->Its fine...that will be no issue.

4- Regarding I-130:

1- Information about you: means about the US Citizen or the petitioner, your relative is the Egyptian Spouse...Am I right?

-->US citizen is Petitioner AND Egypt citizen is Beneficiary. So in ur case Your wife is Petitioner and you are beneficiary. So in i-130, Information

2- Can I write in the PDF file, then print it? what if the provided space isn't enough [it writes +]

So in i-130, Information about you means your wife's information. And Information about ur Relative, means your information. In short in B section write about ur wife and in C section write about you.

2- Can I write in the PDF file, then print it? what if the provided space isn't enough [it writes +]

--> Yes write in PDF and print it.If not enough space then u can write in extra sheet. Or if its writes + ,then its ok. No problem.

3- Question #1: (Name, First, Middle)....Please tell me how to write them because in Egypt we have different style of wring names...

Assume that my first name is X, my father name is Y, Grandpa name is Z, last name is T

--> Name(Family name)-T First name- X Middle name - Y

4- Question 2 : It asks about the address of petitioner...Which address should I write? in Egypt or in USA (knowing that my wife lives with me in Egypt)

-->Your wife's USA address.Where she lives or where she lived lastly.

5- Question 10: Alien Registration number? what is it?

--> You can find it on your wife's citizen certificate.

6- Question 13: Has your relative ever been in USA? What is the meaning of this question? my relative is American, how comes he never been is US?

--> Dude ,your wife(us citizen) has to fill out this form for you.So she is petitioner and you are her relative.

So its asking about you.Have you been in USA any time?? If yes then write yes no then NO.

7- Question 14: If you are a lawful permanent resident alien...What that means?

-->If somebody has only US greencard then she/he called as lawful permanent resident. In your case ur wife is US citizen. So write NA.

8- Question 14-b: did u gain permanent resident status through marriage to us citizin? It's related to the previous question

--> Write NO

9- Question 16: has your relative ever been under immigration proceedings? is that means my wife was punished from immigration? or means that one day she was making immigration procedures just like me now

--> Write No

10- Part C: information about your relative:

Is asks for list of wives, childs...Does it include my current wife whom is applying for me and our kid or what?

--> List your name and all detail then also list ur kid's name and all detail

11- Question 20: If your relative native alphabet is other than Roman, write name and address...is that means to write my name in arabic language?

--> Yes you can write your name in your local language by pen or leave it blank.

I know that it was too long and boring for some, but I really green hand in those issues

I would appreciate any help

Thank you in Advance

What is the difference between:

Information about your relative & Information about your Alien relative???

I noticed that Part C, # 17, Data wrtiiten are for the Petintioner (check the case of the filled example)

While "Nilesh Patel" told me to write data about me (beneficiary)???

Regarding the Proof of 6 months...Any ideas?

Regarding writing in the PDF file, then print...When I write long sentence, it writes (+) then cut the last words.

I printed it then appeared the same way!!!

The I-130 is submitted by the US citizen petitioner. So when it asks for "information about you" that means the US citizen. The foreign spouse is the (Alien)relative.

If you need extra space then you will simply put the information on a separate sheet of paper as the instructions state (page 2, GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS, Step 1, #2)

Regarding proof of domicile for the US citizen spouse you should submit whatever is proof of living arrangements in your country. If there is a household registry book or some sort of police document that is what you want.

Have you looked at the example form here on VJ to help you understand? http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-130.pdf

Have you studied the form instructions http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-130instr.pdf and

Guide http://www.visajourney.com/content/dcf here on VJ? It is time well spent by both of you.

Hi man...now what i have to say???? I said above that ur poor in english.......is it right or not????

Relative and alien relative both means are same.Still you dont understand about 'petitioner', 'beneficiary','relative' etc.

Alien - Any person not a citizen or national of the United States

Petitioner- A person who files an immigration petition or application

Beneficiary- An alien who is sponsored by a relative or a business, or has self-petitioned for an immigration benefit

And abt C-17 ,sorry in samples they are wrong. I m right.Still let see what other people says????
