I would think Washington goes through Vermont Service Centre. You need to check this on the I-129F instruction booklet/forms it gives you the centre in which serves which states and their addresses on there too.

We are currently trying to make our letter of intent to marry. And based on the VJ example forms

it is written there that we need to provide the address of the USCIS service center.

Now we are both confuse as what service center are we going to put or it is referring to?

On form I-129F instruction sheet (taken from USCIS.gov) it states that we need to send the I-129F form to the Dallas Lockbox.

But other people here are talking about Vermont, Californa, Nebraska, Texas Service centers and I don't see those addresses anywhere in USCIS website...except the mere mention of those service centers existing.

What should we put in our letter of intent and cover letter? the Dallas Lockbox?

If not, can anyone tell us or help us in where to go? My fiance is from Washington State 98208.

Thank you very much...we really need help...

Every application goes to Dallas now, after initial processing (like cashing the check) they will forward your application then to either California or Vermont. My fiance is from Washington too, our service center is California. So adress everything (letter of intent, cover letter etc.) to the California Service Center, but send the pacage to the adress given on the I-129F instructions. Good luck.

Try reading the instructions that come with the I129F

USCI*S is not part of the State Dept.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

It does say which service center. Wash. State wouldn't go to vermont most certainly but to CSC.

There is a change in processing temporarily. The cutoff for app. Was Sept 15 I think. Before that date they would forward but after that date they will return it to you then you have to resend. That info is here on VJ. Look it up for the specifics.

Before you start filling forms out, you should have read this site, and USCIS front to back. Is not complex at all, but you need to understand the process. Good luck.

If you are still not sure or just want to be reassured, call your local congressman. If yours is as good as mine, they have someone who handles immigration cases and will look over your application for free and tell you if you are missing anything.

Also being a resident of Washington State, I am 99% sure the application would be forwarded from Texas to the California Service Center, not Vermont.

IMO, since all applications initially go to Texas, I don't think it would be a problem to use the Texas lockbox address when writing the letter of intent.

Good luck on your journey.
