Thanks for the information, it's of great help.

Funkeleye

They don't always inform you at the interview, though you'll usually get some indication. They have a form letter with check boxes that they give you. It looks something like this:

Obviously, if the "Congratulations" box is checked then you've been approved (though a supervisor can still withdraw the approval). If the "Your case has been continued" box is checked then you'll have to wait for a final answer.

They can also deny outright at the interview, in which case they'd hand you a denial letter.

The green card usually comes within two or three weeks of the approval.

Hi,

Since we did the Interview for AOS we haven't received a response. The case status on the USCIS site shows that we have not yet done our interview!??? We've phoned the customer service line to inquire, but the operators give vague answers, finally we were told that our priority date is not up yet and the dates have "retrogressed". This is confusing, because it was up before and we received the interview letter which we attended, but we see that the visa bulletin priority date has "retrogressed" as they said to "2009".

Is there anything else we should do, or we should continue to watch and wait? :clock:

Hello,

At last I received an email notification that my spouse's permanent resident status has been registered and we'll be receiving the green card in 60 days. This has been after a very agonizing wait for our priority date to become current again in the visa bulletin, but USCIS response time has been good.

HURRAY! HALLELUYAH!
