hi guys.lm knew in this forum.l just finalized my divorce 2 weeks ago and l mailed my i 751 waiver based on bonafind marrige on 9/8/2010. l just received a letter from my boss asking for an evidnce that lm legal to work once my card expire in 3weeks.how soon should l receive a note that they have extended my status?will l be able to travel once l receive it despite lm devorced now?

I'm almost 100% sure you've received your receipt notice (also serves as an extension letter) by now. If not, you should receive it very soon.

If you still didn't receive it, make an infopass appointment and get an I-551 stamp.

Thanks Okalian,you are 100% wright. l received my i 751 receipt notice on 9/15 dated 9/10 extending my status for one more yr.l have one more question if you guys dont mind to answer. my attorney called me on 9/15 to go get my receipt notice from his office.l was thinking that USCIS was supposed to send me a copy of everthing they send my attorney too. the other thing is that the notice receipt has my name and attorney"s name and l guess its becouse the notice came through his office.my i 751 form had my new adress.

If you chose an attorney to act as your agent then all correspondence is going to go to the attorney. It's your attorney's responsibility to see that you get a copy of it. USCIS doesn't send out multiple copies of anything.

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!
