While you wait, you can pick up a new hobby. Join a book club. Take up photography. Fall is a wonderful time to take picture of foilage. Call you wife everyday. Text her. Email her. Send her gifts. Ask her to send you gifts. Demand that she learns cooking and cleaning if she doesn't know how to do those. This will probably start a fight and before you know it a month will be over. Then you wait for one less month. Or you can just pretend like you're still single. For get you're even married or have a spouse. They day you wife comes to America, you can pretend like it's the day you are getting married.

There are some ideas to get you started. Be creative. I don't know if you're Muslim or not. If you're Muslim, you can set goals to recite the Qur'an x many times before your wife comes. That helps pass off time and it's a good habit, also.

Hello all,

I am April filer (April 29, is the date on NOA1). I have not seen any action on my petition.

I see that a number of people say that "touched on this date" etc. What it means "touched"?

M. Yunus

Without touch, poeple can get approved.

When you create an a/c in USCIS site with your Receipt#, you can see "Last Updated Date" which is touch.

Hi, Thanks for the information. Have you done any thing as your five months are completed? Have you contacted any one? Any reaction from them!

Hi, Thanks for the information. Have you done any thing as your five months are completed? Have you contacted any one? Any reaction from them!

I called today and according to them they are still working on March 29 filers. We know that is not true because several April Filers have gotten approved this month. I explained to her that my case has not been updated sinch April 9th and she said that I should hear something in about 2 weeks and if not to go ahead and call back. I have really tried to stay positive during these past five months but i starting to loose my patience.

Why are you losing your patience? You knew going in it's going to take five months. And that's just the first step. Then there's NVC, then embassy. So quite a bit of way to go. You should keep your patience and hopes for many more months. Because that's how long it's going to take for everything to be said and done.

Hi,

Finally I saw that my case was touched 10/5/10. I could not find a place to add this "touch date" information in my time line. May be my case will get approval soon.

Thanks for all you guys for the support and timely informations.
