In case any of you care to know, there will be an airshow here at our airport in Wood County, West Virginia. We will have a fly-by of the Stealth Bomber and A-10 demonstrations, to mention just a flew of the modern day flying machines you MIGHT be familiar with.

We do have real life here.

Why does a John Denver song come to mind?! ;):whistle:

I heard that from every Brit, every Irishman, every Ulsterman who asked me where I was from in the US.

It's about as original as poking fun at a State you know nothing about.

Here's another reason we don't like it......

Picking on or making fun of WV is something you are allowed to do if you were born and raised here.

Anybody else doing it is uttering 'fightin' words'.

Seriously. Probably about 30% of the United States population does not even know the state exists. They believe it is a reference to Western Virginia. I cannot tell you how many times, when I have told someone where I am from, they have asked me how far away my town is from Roanoke. It's pathetic.

At least the British were aware that it is a separate US State. I was impressed.

So this airport in West Virginia was shut down for 10 hours and several 100 people evacuated--and the question should not be how could this person make it to TSA with bottles of a liquid--the question should be why did it take the TSA 10 hours to determine that the liquid was just harmless cosmetics.

TSA is a joke.
