Hi everybody!!!

I married this last summer in Turkey and then I returned home leaving my husband there without come home (Puerto Rico) with me. Then I started to manage all the documnets in the I-130 to be sent to Chicago Office, where I belong. I sent all the documents in August 12, 2010 in certified mail with return receipt; that I checked by net and showed me that they received the package in August 14, 2010.

Still to this day I haven´t received the I-797, when they are supposed to send it to me in 10 days. I called to 1-800-375-5283, but the didn´t found anything about our names in the net system.

So... I feel blind and aimless!!! I really don´t know what can I do. Bcz maybe they lost the documents and I don´t know if its right to send everything again (including the cost of the Fee). I´m very desperate!!!!!!! :´(

I tried to find the phone numbers of the Chicago Office, but all number that I found are disconnected. :-S

I think it´s ridiculous to have send documents outside the state of residence of each one of us bcz in every state or US territory exist USICS Offices and we are wasting time that could be faster the time to work them, such things happen like here I narrated.

I would be gratefull to those who can give me more information about the Chicago office and if I need re-send everything again.

There was some problems in August with 'the wrong guidelines' being implemented for the Chicago lockbox -

many I-130's were returned with address problems (addresses IN the forms), and for the most part, these 'refusals' were done in error.

The NOA-1 can take 60 days to get to you. I"m not sure where you got the 10 days from, but if they've received it, then they're working on processing it. This journey is about patience.

It's Happening with my I-129, i forwarded in August and yet no reply but i received NOA1 against I-130 in August, .and when called them, they said couln't find it in systems, and asked to wait for a week & if you dont get it in this week then call back clueless where it goes.

I will write it again in the forum u are telling me here... I really dont understand the codes for recognize any one of the things bcz this is my 1st time doing it.

When i called to the National Customer Service, the teller told me that suppouse at 10 days the Chicago Office send to me the I-797... but nothing appear in the systems and i didnt receive them back to me neither... :-/

I called a lawyer and he told me the same about the 10 days for send to me that I-797... bcz after that i will submit the K-3 I-129f

Please understand, that after 1 FEB 2010,

filing an I-129F in the hopes of getting a K-3 visa -

is a waste of time and money.

If any lawyer is not aware of NVC administratively closing the I-129F, hey ! get a different lawyer !

Darnell... I called few minutes ago. The founf the case in the system, but said me that the I-130 was rejected in August 23 :S

The teller found me bcz he wrote me entire info in the system. But cant say to me the reason of the reject.

Until today they brang to me the receipt number, but still 1 moth and didnt come the documents back and i dont know what is happening bcz they suppouse sent them inmediatly to me... so, i dont know the reasons for reject the I-130.

By that i most run tomorrow to the postal office bcz i sent a money order and for ask about if they have the package. While, i will send everything again tomorrow but taking the risk that they reject it again bcz dont know why they did it this time without the explanation they sent.

Did you send the i-130 via certified mail,,,,and if so were is your reciept,,,,and who sighned for it,,,if not sent like that i would send again,,,,this is the most easy way i think,,,,but you must send cert. mail!

i received the package of documents in the afternoon of Oct 4, but in the same day in the morning i sent the new package. :-/ The I-797 said that my address was not complete, but was really complete bcz i am look at it in all the forms. Well... i did all again and this last saturday i received the new I-797 and they accepted all the documents.

Tomorrow I will send the I-129f for get the K-3, but i most call to the phoneline bcz i am confused about which address I most send all this forms to do this new step.
