Hi everyone.

Please tell me if my boyfriend who lives in Nigeria can visit me in Texas on a tourist visa? He has a decent job working on computers in Nigeria. He has his own apartment there and lives alone. He also has a bank account and owns some assets. He knows that he will only be allowed to visit for 90 days on a tourist visa. He has also traveled to the UK before. How can we secure a visa and get through the horried immagration process? Thank you for your time and attention.

Hi !

Your boyfriend, who lives in Nigeria, can visit you,in Texas, on a tourist visa !!!

He might have some problems to actually GET a Tourist Visa, but

he won't know, until he applies.

How can we secure a visa and get through the horried immagration process?

Oh my - a tourist visa is not for any 'immigration process'. What's on yer mind?

Most Tourist visa's holders are admitted for 6 months.

If he wants one, then he applies.

And to re state the above, it is a NON immigrant visa.

The things you listed are usually not enough to get a US tourist visa for someone from Nigeria. Being young they would see him as a high risk of not returning to Nigeria as scheduled. Having a girlfriend in the US makes it even more likely that he would be trying to stay here and not return home. By owning some assets are you referring to real estate or just personal property. Significant developed real estate assets might improve his chances but undeveloped property is not helpful and person belongings are not considered. Having some money in the bank ( in the order of 20,000 USD) or having a long term well paying job . Also having a wife and kids that were not traveling would help

his case ( but then he wouldn't be a boyfriend )

I know you don't want to hear these things but that is how things work there. If you have not yet met face to face , you will most likely be traveling to Nigeria or meeting him in the UK.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
