imcomplete cover letter

ACTUALLy i did not include a cover letter... but I topped it with Table of Contents instead B) . ... but its incomplete! I forgot to mention that I included my 2005 tax returns!

i know it sounds silly but will this matter? Do they check accuracy of coverletters?

The clerical staff who sort the application materials and create the files throw the cover letters away.

That's why any explanations that one may want to include with an application or petition should be put in an attachment to the appropriate document, not be put in a cover letter.
