In mid-2009 we mailed a small package from interior Mindanao to Portland, Oregon via Philippine post office. Just to be cheap - instead of using FedEx (Air21)... After several weeks we gave up hope and figured it had been plundered. After a few months totally forgot about it. Nearly 5 months later it arrived in Portland in perfect condition, sealed with no indication as to cause of delay! Was a huge surprise to say the least.

I figure it just sat there at the post office Philippine style - like waiting for a jeepney to fill up before heading out... :D

omg 5 months? lol maybe there is still hope for the bday card i sent him last june :-) i sent it via regular mail from makati to his apartment in california and he still has not received it! if the address was invalid, they would have returned it back to the sender. so i was told :-( though im pretty sure i had it right. i had no idea why it never came. it was supposed to be a surprise for his bday. :-(

on the other hand, i sent a card a few months before that one that never came and it took about 20 days. regular mail should just take about two weeks. im not sure if the delay was because i sent it inside a military base. im just glad he got it!

the one sent on a regular residential address he never got to see

My fiance sent me a letter and pictures about 2 months ago via snail mail and I still haven't received it. Do you think I ever will?

How long (typically) does it take snail mail to get to the US from the Philippines?

Thanks!

hello we had the same problem. I sent snail mail to my honey last march 12, 2010 . I was expecting it will be there in OHIO, USA by April on his special day but sad to note until now he never receive any...
