Folks,

Most of people have had this problem where we don't have last name.

I am filing K1 for my fiancee who has only Given name and no last name.

On her passport there is only Given name as (xxx yyy) and family name/surname is blank.

I am wondering what should I put in place of Family Name on I-129f or G-325A?

Also there is not enough space in both of these forms if I decide to put only her Given name as First name and keep Last name field blank.

Any advice?

As per the I-129F instructions:

3. Answer all questions fully and accurately. State that an item is not applicable with "N/A." If the answer is none, write "none."

If you leave it blank, they may think you forgot to fill it in, and RFE you.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Write..."No family name" DO NOT Leave it blank. It is normally not necessary to enclose a copy of the beneficiary's birth certificate or passport for the I-129f, in your case I WOULD include copies of those.

Bobby is correct EXCEPT in this case I would be willing to bet my next months salary that her NOA1 Will come up with the family name of "None" I would use "No family name"
