Okay, sooooooo inshaallah i will be going soon. I am finally coming up with the money to go. What is the cheapest place to get tickets? I would love to take my lil one with me and she is 3. I know I need to get her passport yet but that will not be a problem. I would love to go in December but all the places I have found so far are like 2000 a ticket and that is too much for me and my lil one to go. Im so excited about finanlly being able to plan this trip. I have been waiting almost a year. Inshallah soon but just input on where you guys have found the cheapest tickets. I CAN'T wait to get there but the jitters are kicking in about being able to start this leg of the journey to the rest of my life. Anyway, yup the rambling has started. LOL. I've heard that the winter months are their busier times because it's not as hot there, that may be why tickets are so expensive. I've heard of people going with cheaptickets.com or orbitz.com, but I always book my ticket straight through Delta for the same price. Good luck!!!

Hi, My husband and I are going to Algeria to visit his family during the month of November. I searched tickets everywhere online and then called my travel agent and he beat them all. I paid 1129 for each ticket. I am not sure about the cost of tickets to Egypt since it is a hot tourist destination but it wouldnt hurt to call him. I have used him 3 times and have been very happy. He is from Algeria, so I am sure he's up on the best ways to get to North Africa. His name is Fawzi and he works for South Shore Travel. It's in California, but I am in Mississippi and he sends the tickets in the mail to me. If you would like to call the number is 510 865 5555. He will give you a quote, then you have 2 or 3 days to book the ticket at that price he quoted. Good luck!

I flew to Egypt in 2009 in December (the first time) and IIRC my ticket ended up being about 1200. But if I had purchased sooner, I could've gotten one for about 900. I used Orbitz and Cheapflights.com the first time, later I booked directly through the airlines websites. Just play around with dates, if you have that option, and also clear the cookies from your computer and try searching again. Sometimes those websites log your searches and the more you search, the higher the prices go.

I had the best luck with Delta too. No hassle straight to Cairo, no lay overs between JFK and Cairo.

I always use British Air thru their site. Have never had a problem with my flights. When I lived in California

I would fly from LA-London-Cairo. Here in Arizona I fly Phoenix-London-Cairo. I myself don't find their rates

high. Service is excellent!!

We always use cheaptickets.com and I have always been satisfied with the airlines I have flown with. I personally will never fly through Chicago if I can help it again. Best wishes and enjoy the trip. I took my kids with me in April (their first time there and my 3rd). Have a wonderful trip and keep us posted.

I checked cheaptickets.com from a major airport in Iowa and found in Dec. for less than $1000 roundtrip I put in Dec 7 to Dec 21.....play with the dates and maybe find something even better. Best wishes.

It's best to book your trip on a Tuesday or Wednesday these days are cheaper and less traveled. Remember that near holidays prices will be higher, also book at least 3 weeks in advance for the best deal. You will also need a consent form from your Child's Father allowing her to leave the country.To obtain her passport this form must be included with the passport application,it takes about 5 to 6 weeks to get your passport after filing and cost is about $85.00 and is valid for 7 years. Actually she doesn't have a father to say. He isn't on her birth certificate or even notified that she was born (He fault). He took off after he found out I was pregnant. Anywhooooooooo, I want to take her with me but I am now rethinking it. It may be too much on her to travel that long to different places. She isnt good with change which is part of her cerebral palsy. She is only 3 and can be very bad tempered if too much change takes place.

I was planning to go over their Christmas/ Winter break but it is proving to be very difficult to find decently priced tickets at that time so I am gonna have to check into somethings. Before I book my tickets. I know that I will be able to book them in November so if I have to wait a lil bit I can, I guess (((( so that it isnt around the holidays.
