Check with your consulate if it is allowed. If yes, it is good to prove 'bona fide relationship' again.

I have got email response from Chennai U.S consulate. They allow only applicant to enter inside for interview. I am not allowed.

If you can afford to go to the interview, you should. If not, don't worry about it. Lots of people go to interview alone and come out with the VISA.

Even if they don't allow you to go in to the actual interview, I have been told that it helps for you to be there. I was told that my wife can take my passport in with her to show to the VO that I am there with her.

I can never hurt if you go.

Also, I was able to confirm with Riyadh embassy that I WILL BE allowed to attend if I wanted to. I think it is best to follow the rule: only speak if asked a question.

Anyway I am taking vacation (I need to complete some business matter as well) to India during my wife's interview. Since we have an infant, I will have to go with her to the Consulate (which is far away from our homes), may be I'll be waiting in the lounge over there with the baby. If she gets the visa, we all will come back to the U.S together.
