Hi, i think you posted in the wrong place... this is in the russian section not the canadian section!

anyways you can check on the canadian government websites and canadian travel government websites to see if you need a visa or not. Im not completely sure if you need one since you have a green card but I do know that if you were going to canada from the phils that you would need a visa as well as a transit visa in most flight cases(depends on your stop over ).

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

No, you do not need a visa. Green card holders are treated the same as US citizens for entering and leaving Canada. We were there this summer. Just show your passport and green card when entering Canada. It's easy.

NO. We live right up against the Canadian border and Alla goes to Montreal OFTEN. She is a major force in the economy of Montreal, particularly her favorite Russian store (on Blvd. Cote St Luc)and her favorite downtown department store where she buys her "cream" (face cream). Also I think she has a reserved parking place at IKEA. I think she knows every crack in the sidewalks of Maisonneuve and Sherbrook Ouest by now.

She never needs anything but her green card. She does not even use her passport. No visa, no passport, just a green card. She goes into and out of Canada several times per week generally, it is the closest city to our house.

Actually somewhat better. US citizens need to show a passport (or my "enhanced" Vermont drivers license) and an LPR needs a green card only.

For official confirmation, see Point 2 of the following link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp#exemptions

If you are flying, you will also require your passport. At some land borders they will request both the passport and the greencard, so it's always best to carry both. Have a great trip!
