Not sure what the details of all that was but part of the clip I had seen before, the scene where a man is being attacked, in the vid I saw it in before it said that guy raped someone and the attackers were the family of the victim.

The bottom line is radicals exist in all religions, there was time when true Muslims,Christians and Jews lived in peace together under one nation.

We'd been doing a pretty good job of doing that in this country until recently. It's not domestic Muslims who are trying to break us up.

For the most part I would agree. There may be some living here that want to bring the ME laws here.

I would also agree there are thise here that are non muslim that have want to create the divide between muslims and non muslims

I would also agree there are Muslims abroad which are trying to create the divide and bring the ME secular laws to the west.

Most "ME laws" are French or British laws. Colonialism defined most of the codified law in much of the ME. Sharia is reflected primarily in family law and personal spiritual practice.

Thank you for clarifying.

To clarify my statement better then it would be the Sharia or laws which mimic Islamic doctrine.

Yet, if the attackers are Christian, but never identified by their religion, Christians are not thought of as attackers, just as victims. The news is definitely skewed toward Muslims as the enemy. How convenient for you.

Why is it that most Westerners are hesitant to visit Muslim countries? Why does the United States Government not allow any of their employees to visit the island of Mindanao without approval? You show one video claiming Christian attacks of Muslims in Indonesia. I can show you 20 of Muslim attacks on Christians.

Your argument is that the news is bias or that Christians are just as bad. But why not show us that all the atrocities committed in the name of Allah are not true? After all as you say Sofiyya, our news is bias.

The body of Sharia law is actually very small. It's divine law, straight from God. Fiqh is what people are referring to when they speak of the application of a legal code related to Islam. Figh is the law as determined by human beings. It is compiled from several sources, not just Sharia, and varies from region to region, culture to culture, sect to sect, and legal school to legal school. That's why the legal practices of one country, such as Saudi Arabia, does not mimic nor reflect laws, procedures and practices across the "Muslim world".

Your news is biased. That's why Christian attacks are hard to find. The criminals doing them are not often labeled as Christian, while Muslim criminals are always labeled as Muslim. I know Christian against Muslim crimes exist because I've helped prosecute them.

Try to think about it this way. Most of the American media is very biased toward Israel and against Palestinians, to the point where criticism of Israeli treatment of Arabs is nominal. The America press minimalizes harm done to Muslims and Arabs, and sensationalizes harm done against Israelis by Muslims and Arabs. It takes a lot of effort to get an objective view of what goes on there. The same is true for Christian on Muslim violence.

I have no doubt that US media is biased, but we live in a world where large media has less power to censor, new media means nothing can be hidden anymore.

Sure Danno posted this thread as a bit of mudslinging towards muslims but your strong reaction and immediate assumption that Christians attack Muslims just as regularly is only backed by anecdotal experience. IMO you are just as guilty as Danno at promoting hate in this particular instance.

Hint, hint: Media reports are anecdotal evidence. I've been on the scene of many incidents, but I wasn't a reporter.

Plenty is still hidden. That's what bias is about.

I think Iran's "media blackout" speaks volumes to what can not be hidden. Sure media reports are anecdotal, thats why I ventured to say that this entire thread is nothing but a bit of mudslinging against Muslims. Of course when one person resorts to the conduct of the OP then their voice loses resonance with me.

PS. My day job is preparing American business executives and line workers for life and work in the Middle East, so I know of many westerners who move there as non-Muslims. It is a hot spot right now. There is a tremendous amount of money pouring into several Middle Eastern nations, and, believe it or not, a growing Muslim middle class.

For those who do more than make sh!t up about people they don't know and places they haven't seen first hand, here's a video you may be interested in viewing. Based on facts, btw.

Are you playing us for stupid ? I doubt any of the posters on this board have an IQ lower than ten, so please don't play us for stupid.

I have several friends that have worked in Dubai, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia due to the fact that like myself, they work in the oil industry and skilled workers are in demand in those regions. The western company's send them there, they work, and then when the job is finished they fly back home to the US.

You comparing skilled Western workers on temporary work visa's vs the millions of Muslim's that have migrated to the west in the past century is like comparing Americans taking vacations in Mexico and/or buying water front vacation homes vs Mexicans pouring across the southern US border.

Take a trip to Western Europe...I used to every other year with my family...I am second generation Frisian and we tried to visit family there as often as possible. Every time we came back to visit, there were not a few more Muslims, but entire neighborhoods of Muslims. So please spare us. And you want facts ? Well seeing how you don't post them yourself, I will save you the trouble and post them for you.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."
