Bonjour, Salam, Hi everyone in this forum

I'm a desperate GC holder who can't find a co-sponsor to bring my husband to U.S. my 2009 income was $20000 but the income for 2008, and 2007 was $10000 and $3000 respectively while I was a full-time student in the U.S.this year I returned to my husband country of citizenship supposing that it takes more than 5 years for me to bring him to U.S.(i fulfilled the apppropriate forms in summer of 2009) so when we received the documents from NVC we got surprised. anyway, i have asked everyone i was acquainted with, to co-sponsor my husband. but since the economical situation doesn't seem very stable, friends and my sole relative are afraid of doing that.(I completely understand them).regarding that i have some thoughts that i don't know if they seem logic or not, and maybe you can help me to discard them if they are not applicable. I appreciate in advance.

1- Can I deposit like $10000 or a little higher in our mutual account in the U.S. to cover the 125% income shortage in my 2007 & 2008 income? Can having money in a U.S. account be conidered (by U.S.immigration office) for sponsorship purposes? (I-130)

2-If he can find a job in U.S.;a job that doesn't provide him with GC but with a promise of employment if he has got his GC; can I(the sponsor) use it to cover my lack of 125% income in 2008,2007?

it's five months that i'm living with him so for 2010 year i'm considered UNEMPLOYED in I-130 form.

Thanks if you have any idea, or you think i'm mistaken

Forget 2007 and 2008- they can go to stability of income, but the most important income is the one you are making NOW- they want to see that you can support the immigrant now and going forward. Do you have a job in the USA that you can go back to? If that job makes 20'000 plus, all you need is a couple of paystubs and a letter from the employer stating that you are employed and they have no intention to let you go anytime soon.

That being said:

1. Yes, savings in a US bank account held by the sponsor (ie you), or in the case of a married couple, join account, will count.

2. No, because the job hasn't started yet and is for the immigrant. Some very easy going embassies will accept a signed employment contract for the sponsor.

Thank YOU.

I haven't been working the whole year(2010). so if i should choose "UNEMPLOYED" when I fulfill the I-684 form. So basically, I have just income of 2009 which is over 125%.

Do you suggest me to send the forms for him?

If you are currently unemployed, and have no assets (you would need at least 55'000 in a savings account, property you own etc), you need a co-sponsor. They will not accept your income from 2009 for sponsorship, you must be employed NOW, have assets or a co-sponsor, or they will deny you.

You are currently in your husband's country, right? If you truly cannot find a co-sponsor, yand have no/ not enough assets, your only option is to go back to the USA asap, and find a job so you can sponsor him. This is probably a good idea anyway because as a greencard holder, you are supposed to be resident permanently in the USA or risk loosing your greencard.
